Warm Cinnamon Berry Compote

Use any mix of berries for this. Frozen berries work beautifully.

Berry Compote

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water or orange juice

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. The berries will break down and sauce will thicken.
  4. Remove cinnamon stick and serve warm.
