Cinnamon Swirl Bread

A soft yeast bread with a stunning swirl of cinnamon sugar inside. Makes the best French toast you've ever had.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • Filling: 1/3 cup sugar + 1 tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Make Dough: Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk, butter, and egg. Knead until smooth (8-10 mins).
  2. Rise: Let rise in greased bowl until doubled (1-1.5 hours).
  3. Shape: Roll dough into a 9x18 rectangle. Brush with milk and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Roll up tightly.
  4. Proof: Place in greased loaf pan. Let rise for 45 mins.
  5. Bake: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes.
