A soft yeast bread with a stunning swirl of cinnamon sugar inside. Makes the best French toast you've ever had.
Ingredients
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- Filling: 1/3 cup sugar + 1 tbsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Make Dough: Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk, butter, and egg. Knead until smooth (8-10 mins).
- Rise: Let rise in greased bowl until doubled (1-1.5 hours).
- Shape: Roll dough into a 9x18 rectangle. Brush with milk and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Roll up tightly.
- Proof: Place in greased loaf pan. Let rise for 45 mins.
- Bake: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes.
