Blood Orange Upside-Down Cake

A showstopper dessert that captures the best of winter citrus. The yogurt base keeps it incredibly moist.

Blood Orange Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 blood oranges, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt, 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Arrange orange slices in a buttered and sugared cake pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and yogurt.
  3. Fold in dry ingredients. Pour batter over oranges.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 40-50 mins.
  5. Invert onto a plate while warm.
